Cookie Policy for venus.gallery and shiny.media

Last updated: 30/09/2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used by the VENUS Gallery, VENUS & CULTURE and SHINY Media websites and by the The.VENUS.Gallery and The.SHINY.Media photo albums. The controller is WorldcApp, as stated in the Privacy Policy.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the website to work, others collect statistics. Besides cookies, we use the browser's local storage (localStorage) for some game preferences.

3. Technical Cookies (always on)

They are needed for the websites to work and do not require consent:

cookiesAccepted: remembers your choice on the cookie banner (12 months)
wa_sid: keeps you signed in to your account (in the albums until the browser is closed, on the magazines up to 90 days)
sso_state, sso_back, vg_sso_state, vg_sso_back: protect the sign-in step and bring you back to the page you started from (a few minutes)
lang_id: remembers the chosen language (12 months)
cronologia_img: remembers the latest photos you viewed in the album, to show them in your history (1 hour)
album_user_id, album_user_email: remember the account you signed in to the album with (12 months)
platform, tablet, app: adapt the album when it is opened from the apps (12 months)

In the browser's local storage the album saves the level chosen in the games, your latest games and whether you have already seen the instructions. This data stays on your device and is not sent to anyone.

4. Statistics Cookies (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to know which pages are visited and from which devices. It is enabled only if you accept cookies in the banner and, in the albums, only if you are not signed in. It sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which last up to 2 years. The data is processed by Google; details are in the Privacy Policy.

We do not use advertising or profiling cookies.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some album videos are embedded from YouTube: when you play one, YouTube may set its own cookies according to its policy.

6. Managing Cookies

You can change your mind at any time by deleting the website's cookies from your browser: on your next visit the banner will ask for your choice again. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; if you block technical cookies, sign-in to the albums and magazines will not work.
